April Fools in High Places

This happened in March not today on April 1st. But this seems the best day to report it.

There are many naïve people who really believe that government health services and institutions do actually work for the benefit of the public, as their names would indicate.

Beltane Festivals Old and New

It’s the Sunday before Beltane so here is my annual long article about Beltane with additions and modifications because this year is actually different from last, though its patterns are similar. What follows is a summary of some of the stuff I have written in answer to questions about pagans and their festivals. It includes a brief history of how the current NeoPagan ways of celebrating the old festivals came about. A sort of Wiccan history 101.

The Lies Begin.

I have written dozens of articles over the years about the lies of government institutions, but almost always after the fact, though it was obvious years ago that the then current administration was lying about Osama Bin Laden, our ex-employee, and the Iraq 9/11 connection. But now you have a chance to see how the lie campaigns are developed from the very beginning by media explosions about the point that the government wants to get across, and by silence or misinformation about the true state of affairs.

Contacts in the Inner Realms and Subtle Worlds for Energy Workers.

Since the Catholic Church has started interfering in the affairs of alternative health people, and is busily micromanaging the private lives of its unfortunate devotees, it seemed a good time to review some previous notes for energy workers, who may be next on the list.

When I mentally checked them over our list of friends and acquaintances included practitioners of Reiki, Dar’ Shem, Quantum Touch, Metamorphosis, Cranio-Sacral, Acupressure, EFT, Runic Healing, Ortho Bionomy, Healing Touch, Body Talk, Hatha, Raja and Jnani yoga, various Buddhist meditation techniques and a few hybrids.

The Next Generation? Maybe.

I was talking to folks in my local coffee shop and the subject of ADD and hyperactive children came up, as did Ritalin. This made me remember several things. Here are some of them in the form of an article.

In War or Peace Viruses Rule

Coming events are often portrayed by artists who pick up the thrust of a culture long before the politicians and the people are aware of it, and write plays or movies or books that are startling at the time and then are descriptions of situations a few months or years later. There are two films that did this forecasting, one pretty obviously and the other incidentally.

Seventeen Centuries of Deception

Easter seems a good time to bring this up again. My previous posting was about where Easter really came from. It has nothing at all to do with the Christian Church. We’ve also recently heard about the efforts of the Church, by which I mean the Roman Catholic Church, to crush the use of alternative healing therapies that the priests are unable to understand or perform. Probably because women are excellent practitioners of the therapies concerned, and can never become bishops.

Behind the Scenes with the Real Easter.

Here we are again in the Easter season, and the stores are filled with Easter Bunnies, Easter cards and Easter Eggs, trying hard to be a bigger commercial success than the other less than stellar season that also used to be a pagan religious event, Christmas.

Shoulds and Should-nots for Women only… Church ‘Advice.’

Nothing, absolutely nothing, riles me as much as hearing or reading about pompous male politicians dressed in black suits, power ties and invincible ignorance, and even more pompous celibate priests also in black, talking with the authority of their God, or their man made scriptures, telling women what they ‘should’ be doing. You can substitute ‘Threats’ for Advice in the title and it may be a more accurate picture.

Inquisition Time for Catholic Healers

This is a short note to warn any Catholics among my readership that if they are healers the bad guys are after them.

The Committee on Doctrine of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has decided to tell faithful and knee jerk Catholics what they should believe about Reiki. Just another catechism to learn without thinking about it too much.
